International Racer Ski Team
Team Structure
At International Racer, three key directors work in co-operation to develop and
manage a leading edge organisation dedicated to the advancement of ski racing
and training of athletes from junior level to elite.
Outside this core group, the team hand picks talented coaches who work with our
Operational Director and Athletic Director to provide expert coaching to our
athletes in the three theatres that we operate. Europe, Canada and Australia.
Core to our mission, all staff play a role in the teams growth. New ideas and
fresh opinions bring new advances in coaching, skills, tactics and mental game.
The team also actively builds relationships with elite alpine teams and athletes
to keep our coaching methods fresh.
Team Director
The Team Director is a sport equivalent of a traditional CEO, this role is
primary to expand the operational capacity and abilities of the ski team and
define future directions for the growth of the team. The Team Director is
responsible for the logistics, financials, staffing and management of the team.
Operational Director
The Operational Director is the sport equivalent of a COO. This Operational
director works closely with the Athletic Director in defining and directing of
all methodologies being implemented into the International Racer curriculum . In
addition, the Operational Director in consultation with the Athletic Director is
responsible for the securing of all training venues, accommodation, dryland
training facilities with the goal to effectively utilize funding and logistics.
The Operational Director is responsible for the operational management and
running of all camps including maintaining communications with the Athletic
Director regarding day to day needs and requirements. The Operational Director
position requires expert coaching knowledge and qualifications.
Athletic Director
The Athletic Director works closely with the Operational Director in defining
all expert coaching elements. The Athletic Director in consultation with the
Operational Director is responsible for the design, implementation and
management of all International Racer curriculum including all athletics
pathways and training calendars. The Athletic Director defines the days to day,
on snow schedules for camps, recruits coaching talent, manages coaches,
sets training goals both on and off snow and organizes staff coaches. . The
Athletic Director is the first line of communication with parents and guardians.
The Athletic Director position requires expert coaching knowledge and
qualifications.
