2008 - Fall
Training Camp - Tignes France

This is a high volume tech camp,
intended to supplement and compliment the training that athletes are
currently receiving within their clubs.
Train with International Racer in the autumn enjoying excellent training on the La Grande Motte
glacier, Tignes.
Due to its altitude Tignes has a very reliable snow
record. High altitude (2700m) makes for cold temperatures and
hard snow. High pressure weather pattern combine with inland location for
predictable weather.
Tignes boasts a fast & efficient lift system,
including 2 high speed underground trains (funicular railways) one of which
transports you from Tignes Val Claret to the 'Panoramic Restaurant' on the
Grand Motte Glacier.
Good
access to hill space flat, moderate and steep terrain. All training
lanes available for full days, allowing coaches to give their athletes
necessary mileage.
On the glacier, athletes will
concentrate on mechanical conditioning, including skill drills designed to
develop and enhance sound fundamentals
Skill conditioning - challenging
mechanics and consolidation of skills through mileage.
Tactical conditioning via developing
versatility, adaptability and understanding
This is a full service camp.

Focus
The focus of the Tignes Fall camp is on the development, patterning, and
mastering of the technical skills. Once mastered our goal is to then sequence
technical skills from outside the course along with tactical sequencing to
within markers, stubbies, gate corridors and finally a rhythmical sets.
Insurance
Travel, Accident and medical insurance are mandatory requirements to train with an
"International Racer" tour program.
International competition insurance that covers activities such as racing and race training under the supervision of an instructor is also mandatory to participate in an
"International Racer" camps.
"International Racer" staff will request proof of these items prior to training. Training may be denied if sufficient insurance has not been purchased.
Please ask your own national ski racing body what insurance cover packages they recommend for international/domestic
racing/training

Enrolment Policies
The France, Tignes camp has a limited number of openings and fill up quickly, so first come, first served.
We suggest you contact us ASAP to nominate your interest. We have
developed over time the following necessary policies for camp enrolment.
[1]
Mandatory. A signed enrolment form and a deposit of $1000.00 CAD is required to request a place in our camps. We cannot register your place until these are received.
[2] The balance of the camp payment must be paid
at a minimum 30 days prior to camp starting to secure your place.
[3] First paid first secured, however, full 6 week participants get place preference over shorter term athletes.
[4] If the camp has already filled you may request entry
onto the programs waiting list. A place will come available if an
athlete cancels their place or we get sufficient numbers to create a new
group.
[5] International Racer,
reserves the right to cancel a training camp based on insufficient numbers for participation. Booked participants will be notified of cancellation 30 days prior to the start of the affected block. International Racer, reserves the right to vary group numbers when necessary,
though maintains a policy to keep numbers at (LE 8:1) in most conditions.
[6] Airport pickup and delivery are set days only, if is
not possible for you to get a flight arriving in the morning on set days, you should arrive on the day before. We are not always able to
accommodate non-standard pickups, athletes with this dilemma may be directed to a bus service. Non-standard pickup/delivery requests will be costed and scheduled
separate to the advertised camp fee.
